Wondering whether you need to be on campus or whether or your classes will be online for the first semester of 2021?
Recent developments in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic have required us to change some of our plans for the delivery of our LLB courses in 2021.
The position for the whole 2021 academic year is now as follows:
All LLB lectures will be delivered entirely online. There will be no face-to-face lectures in any LLB course.
All LLB tutorials will be delivered entirely online. There will be no face-to-face tutorials in any LLB course.
All tests in all LLB courses will be online.
All LLB F course exams at the end of semester 1 will be online.
We are hoping to have invigilated on-campus exams for all S, H and W LLB courses at the end of the year, which will require students to be in Cape Town.
We are working with IAPO on the arrangements that will need to be made for international students to enable them to travel to Cape Town for those exams.
If events unfold in a way that renders it necessary for us to change the plan, we will inform you as soon as possible.
Orientation will be entirely online.
All students will require a device and internet connectivity to enable them to participate in online learning.
We will issue further information regarding Community Service, moots and other aspects of online teaching and learning shortly.
Course convenors will provide more detailed information in relation to their courses by the start of term.
The University will release information to students with regard to the university laptop scheme; the provision of data; use of campus facilities; returns to residence; and other general operational and academic matters.
