The School for Advanced Legal Studies (SALS) invites you to further your law studies at the University of Cape Town while surrounded by breathtaking scenery and a rich diversity of cultures, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. SALS offers the LLM and MPhil degrees by coursework and minor dissertation, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Law.
Our internationally recognised programmes are taught by distinguished South African and international academics and practitioners, and attract many local and international students. The coursework programmes may be started in either February or July of each year, and as no correspondence courses are offered, candidates must be resident in Cape Town for the duration of the programme.
